How to go about starting your own business

Would you like to carry on working while still having control of what you do and how you do it? Have you thought about using your life experience and work skills to start a new small business? Options could include simply setting up as a contractor or joining with others to build a more complex small business.
Starting a new business or investing in an existing business carries risks for people that change as we get older. The Mature Age Business Syndicate (MABS) Project being delivered by TAFE SA, will give you the skills, knowledge and support to understand what you need to know to start up or invest in a small business.
This program is designed for people in the middle or later in their working lives. There is no particular age group but you will have work skills and life experiences that are valuable – you may be wanting a fresh start or you could be retired or semi-retired and thinking about a new, more flexible way of continuing to work as your own boss.
Come along to a relaxed, interactive and FREE information session to hear about how this project could support you to get into business for yourself or with the help of others willing to join a syndicate.
Business syndicates could enable you to:
1. share financial investment
2. share existing skills and experience
3. organise training requirements to fill knowledge gaps
4. share individual and business contacts to build new networks into the community
5. share time in the running of the business to provide flexibility
